Golf and Ocean

This past weekend was Labor Day weekend, but there was no laboring going on in my life. (Wow, talk about cheesy beginnings!) My husband, Josh, and Rose, Tyler, Avery, and I went to Pebble Beach in Monterey, CA to watch his uncle play in a golf tournament. I've never been to a golf tournament before, and Pebble Beach was the perfect place to experience a golf outing. The course sits on the cliffs draping the ocean. On the 18th hole, a shelf was built to block large waves from hitting any of the golfers. That's how close this course is! Anyway, it was a perfect day. Not a cloud in the sky; 75 degrees, which was heavenly compared to the 100 degree weather we were having in Folsom! Josh and I walked the entire course supporting his uncle who had a rollercoaster of a game, but he did far better than I could ever do! Rose, Tyler, and Avery tried to make it through, but baby Avery didn't like the wind very much and got fussy, so they ended up sitting on the bleachers of the 18th hole for most of the day. I didn't get as bored following the golf as I thought I would. The scenery helped to cope with any ADD that I could have gotten. So, the course not only sits on the ocean, but it's also enclosed by HUGE houses that looked nothing like each other. Amazing! There was this one Mediterrean "cottage" that was probably 10,000 sq. ft., and it had beautiful landscaping. Yeah, I could maybe live there when I grow up:-)
Well, I will continue with this a little later. Now, I must get ready for work. Peace!
